RKN installation progress at Claverham College

RKN installation progressing well to tradditional-build ESFA school project

At the end of August, we commenced on-site at Claverham Community College, a Secondary School located in Battle.

The school project, secured under the Dfe’s ESFA framework for Bowmer + Kirkland, boasts high specification, Senior Architectural System’s SF52 Curtain wall, PURe windows and 501 door sets.

Over the past few weeks, we have installed nearly all 60 windows, glazing all glass and membrane works. The large majority of the 15 curtain wall screens are first fixed, and with external facade work still at its early stages, the teams have done fantastically in achieving our goal of early progression - makes life much easier!

Whilst awaiting 3rd party louvers to be delivered to site, we will now focus our attention on glazing curtain walls, achieving a water-tight building without the inefficiency of working around other trades. Completion works including cill & silicone seal installation

It’s nice to be back on a traditional build school, having had our attention focused on the 10 allocated MMC off-site projects. RKN have worked on or are working on over 40+ projects with B+K, with our important relationship continuing to grow.
