RKN installation progress to 3 Readie Construction projects
RKN on-site at 3 Readie Projects in Burton & Manchester
We have been working for Readie Construction site on 3 projects simultaneously over the past few weeks & months - Phase 6 St Modwen, Plot 3 Centrum West, and Plot 1000, Oldham.
The schemes all compromise of Senior Architectural System’s SF52 Curtain wall, 600 series windows, and 501 door sets.
Despite some significant pressures caused by the general state of the Construction industry at present, as well as our own in-house ‘lessons learned’, we can look at 3 striking Industrial schemes, which as usual, are looking fantastic.
We are now on our 6th Readie project, with them all having been awarded since 2021, and hope to continue to develop our relationship with the growing Main Contractor.
Phase 6 St Modwen, Burton Gateway
The largest of the 3 schemes, St Modwen boasts 4 large curtain walls, including glazed-corner main entrance, 44 windows (over 100 frames) and 4 door sets.
We have completed works to the main office windows, and have glazed the office curtain walls, with pressure plate & cap outstanding. Our attention has focused on the installation and glazing of the hub office, to allow internal trades to progress, before we then return back to the front of the building.
Plot 3 Centrum West, Burton
A stones-throw from the St Modwen site is Plot 3 Centrum West. The project comprises of 16 windows, 1 large corner curtain wall and door set.
With all windows fully completed, we have some final finishing works to complete before we then leave site, returning to install the main entrance doors, boasting a telescopic automatic set, supplied & installed by our auto provider, Record UK. At the same time, we will install a glass canopy, to ensure the striking aesthetic of the entrance to this industrial building.
Plot 1000, Oldham
Some 90 miles north of the 2 Burton sites is Plot 1000, an industrial building in Oldham, Manchester. The scheme includes a large corner curtain wall, an internal 3-corner curtain wall, 29 windows (over 50 frames) and 3 door sets.
Having had a quick start to the project, we have been hampered in finishing as early as we wanted, but have now, as of 27th September, reached completion on the scheme.
